Using the New Chromebook Repair Form

posted Jan 4, 2017, 6:21 AM by Bryan Tallitsch   [ updated Jan 4, 2017, 6:34 AM ]

The old form has a link to the new one, or access it by going to and signing in at the bottom of the page (might have to click a couple of times), then clicking on internal staff only > chromebook repair form.

The new form might look more complicated, but it should be much easier and more accurate than the old one.

  • Select the School
  • Put the cursor in the "Student First Name" field
  • Scan the Chromebooks QR code using the new blue scanner
    • The rest of the Fields should be filled in automatically
    • If a QR code is not available, please enter at least the Student's name and ID
  • Select the problem(s)
    • NEW Option to check if the student for sure should be charged for repair
    • NEW Option to check if the student is leaving or otherwise returning the CB for good
  • Enter Loaner number if needed
  • Click submit
That's it! If you would like a slightly more in depth walkthrough click here for a video guide.

Optimize iPad tablets for use on the Mobile network

posted Sep 4, 2015, 12:01 PM by Bryan Tallitsch   [ updated Aug 12, 2016, 1:22 PM by Brandon Pham ]

Question: Will this Ipad be touched by any students hands?

If it touching a students hand then the iPad must be on the Mobile network/SSID.

If it is not touching a student hand then the iPad can be connect through the 428staff or District428 network. You will no longer have to follow this guide.

  • Ensure that the IPAD is connect to the Mobile Network. (A technician may need to take a look at it)
  • Ensure that the Ipad will be touch by a student and not just a staff member.
With new content filtering it's important for the network to trust the device using it. To get the best possible browsing experience a certificate needs to be installed for that trust relationship. Getting the certificate installed is simple, just follow these steps:
Download the Certificate by Clicking this Link:

IPad Picture Guide:
Click where the arrow points after clicking on the link above in safari on the iPad.

Double-check app store to ensure you can connect!
